Match Point Table Tennis Events - York Double Header
The Match Point Table Tennis York Double Header takes place over two dates at the York Railway Institute. Players will accumulate points across the two dates, with the ultimate goal of becoming the overall York Double Header champion. The prize money is as follows:
1st place overall - £750
2nd place overall - £250
The winner of each tournament on the day will also receive £150, with the runner-up receiving £100.
The series will feature Seniors and Restricted categories.
Seniors: Open to all players.
Restricted: Open to players who are outside the top 100 of the Table Tennis England (TTE) ratings on their date of entry to the tournament. Please see rule 7 for further information.

Points System
5 points for entering a tournament
2 points per match win (this does not apply to consolation events)
5 bonus points for winning the tournament on the day
3 bonus points for the runner-up of the tournament on the day
Regulations
All tournaments within the York Double Header will follow the standard Match Point Tournament Regulations. These can be found under the ‘Tournament Information’ tab.
Entry fees:
Individual tournament entry: £25 per tournament
No points are awarded for match wins in the consolation event.
If a player receives a walkover, they will receive the allotted points for that match.
The Restricted category is only open to players outside the top 100 of the TTE ratings list on their date of entry. Please see rule 7 for further information.
The TTE ratings list on the date of the first tournament in a series applies to all tournaments in that series thereafter, regardless of any changes to the list throughout the series. Therefore, if you exit the top 100 of the ratings after the date of the first tournament in a series, you will not be eligible for restricted events. If you enter the top 100 after the first tournament in a series, you will still be eligible for the restricted series.
